Arranged by John Walton
Text by Michael Williams

is a play about the staging of a musical in Soweto. A group of young people, Seraki, Gloria, Nongeni, and Teddy, audition for a show that will change their lives forever. The short-tempered and ambitious director, Mosake, demands total commitment from his cast and will go to any lengths to preserve his theatrical reputation. When the cast discovers that the star of the musical, Gloria has AIDS, more than just the opening night is in jeopardy, as the young people are forced to face their own prejudice and their own mortality.

Crocodiles is based on the best-selling novel "Crocodile Burning" by Michael Williams, first published in the United States by Penguin Books and then in South Africa by Oxford University Press.
